AN ALTERNATIVE ENDING FOR ‘JANE EYRE’

When I woke up, the sky was so dark. I looked around, but there was no one. The bad thing was I did not know where I was. I could only shout over and over. I shouted if there was anyone. Unfortunately, no one heard me. Then, I stood up and carefully examined the room in which I was. The room was really strange. There were ropes in the room and they were very long. There were also many drugs on the table next to my bed, and they were all different from each other.

Suddenly, I heard a weak voice. I listened to it very carefully and heard two people talking about someone. Slowly, someone opened the door of the room. A man walked into the room, but he was shocked to see me. He immediately called security. They tied me to the bed with ropes in the room. I tried to escape, but I could not.

Then, they gave me medicine that was in the room, and right after that, I slept immediately. Two hours later I guess, someone was fondling my hair, and surprisingly it highly made me feel safe. When I opened my eyes, I saw Mr. Rochester in front of me. He said to me, ‘My love, you lost your mind after the fire, and we locked you in a madhouse.’. I felt so bad when I heard that. I said to him, ‘I’m fine, and I can get out of here.’. He believed me. Days later, I also persuaded the doctors and finally went out of there. Now, Mr. Rochester and I are together and lead a happy life.
