Education is very important for our future. Education must also have specific standards to ensure quality, such as enough technological devices and well-educated teachers. Unfortunately, not every child in the world has access to quality education for different reasons, such as poverty, inequality, and poor school conditions. In this blog, I will talk about education problems and solutions in Türkiye.
Education in Türkiye
One of the important problems in Türkiye’s education system is inequality. Students in big cities generally have more opportunities for education than the other cities. Especially girls in the east side of the Türkiye do not have these opportunities. Because their families do not allow them to study for long time and they are married by their families at a young age.According to the TÜİK statistics, the male population who completed primary education in the last five years is more than the female population.
Another problem is the Turkish education system only gives academic education. They do not give enough importance to students’ abilities. For this reason, students cannot discover their skills, and they focus only on information, not creativity.
To fix these education problems in Türkiye, both the government and the people must do something. In my opinion, parents should be informed about quality education and support their children to continue their education. On the other hand, the government should make a strong education law to address the inequality problem, especially for girls. Also, the system should be reorganized to be more focused on students’ abilities rather than only on academic information. More activities can be done in schools in areas such as arts and sports.
In conclusion, quality education is the source of our future. Türkiye also has some important problems regarding this, but these problems can be solved with the right decisions. If Türkiye finds effective solutions to these problems and invests in education, future generations will be more successful and creative.
