Jake had always dreamed of going on a long road trip with his friend, Tom. However, he had never found a convenient time. This winter, he decided to bite the bullet and take the week off work. He knew it wouldn’t be easy to get permission. Therefore, he had been under the weather for a few days, but he wasn’t going to give up.
Jake quickly packed his bags and called Tom, excited to hit the road. Jake was driving down the highway, enjoying the open road. For the first couple of hours, everything was going well and easily; it felt like a walk in the park.
Jake: We are almost at the first city we want to visit, Wyoming! I’m excited to see the fascinating natural places!
Tom: Jake, I really appreciate it! This is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity. I hope the trip continues to be as great as it’s been so far.
Right at this moment in the conversation, the car suddenly broke down.
Jake: Oh no! The car is breaking down! I can’t handle it.
Tom: Everything is going wrong! We have to stop this car before it costs an arm and a leg!
They understood the consequences and then tried to push it to the car service. However, the car’s engine was so damaged that they couldn’t move it anymore.
Tom: Maybe I can fix it.
Jake: It might seem like a piece of cake to you, right?
Tom was mistakenly damaging the engine further.
Jake and Tom were starting to lose hope, then a kind stranger stopped by and offered help. “It seems like a blessing in disguise,” Jake said. The help had arrived just in time. The stranger, who was a mechanic, took one look at the engine and said, “I can fix this, but you’ll have to be patient. Let’s break a leg and get this running!”
Then the mechanic fixed the problem before it went downhill. In the end, they continued their trip and visited Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado.
