That day was Christmas. Alice was preparing some food and beverages in her kitchen because she and her friends planned a party at Alice’s house. Everyone was looking forward to that party because that year had been so tough for all of them. At 11 p.m., everyone was ready for the party. They danced together happily and ate some snacks, but there was a girl in the corner of the living room. Her name was Rose. She seemed bored. Max saw her, and an idea came to his mind. He offered to play a game about the spirit world because he knew that she was interested in souls. No one said no. They decided to play it. First, they went out to Alice’s garden.

They sat around the fire. Max told them to close their eyes and think of their dream soul silently. They did it, and a cold wind blew. He said to open their eyes. When he said it, he felt that strange things were going to happen. Alice wasn’t there when they opened their eyes. What happened, and why didn’t anyone hear anything?

They were shouting and looking around to find her. Rose found a piece of paper in Alice’s seat. She read it loudly, so everyone ran there. Someone left a note:

“Now, we are with Alice. If you don’t find her, she will be with us forever. You don’t have to go too far. We are at the White House at the end of the town. You have thirty minutes. If you don’t find her at once, you will be cursed, and everyone will be trapped in this house.”

Max and Rose went to that house. They were so scared. However, they wanted to find their friend. Nobody was home when they arrived. They shouted, but there wasn’t any sound. They were in the bedroom; however, they were in another room after only three seconds, and a soul was laughing at them. Alice was unconscious on the ground. They tried to reach her, but they were in a different room again. The house started to teeter. They couldn’t hold on to anything because everything had disappeared. Rose was crying because she thought they would die in that strange house. They had twenty minutes; however, they weren’t doing anything. Their other friends were at Alice’s house, waiting for them. After a while, a man in a black suit suddenly appeared and said, “You must go to the hill of East Mountain.” They had to go there; however, they didn’t want to.

They decided to wait for a few minutes because they believed that Max, Rose, and Alice were still in that house. However, something happened. The house continued to teeter. Suddenly, a book dropped in front of Max. It had been written by a spirit hunter who had hidden it in a concealed place. Max read some lines, and they were as follows: “If you are in this house, there is only one way to get out of it.”

They stopped for a moment, looked at each other, and went on reading: “Your friends must repeat a secret word on the wall three times by the fire, but there is an important thing. Your friends must be on East Mountain to hear you.” Rose and Max shouted that word because they didn’t have any other option. That word was “freedom.” Their friends on East Mountain heard them. Rose and Max told them what they had to do. They had only 30 seconds, but they achieved it. In the end, everyone was by the fire, but the problem was that they could only see silhouettes. Yes, the word “freedom” worked, but they still needed some time to get over this nightmare party.
