The Stolen Wallet and the Dance of Truth

It was a quiet afternoon at the police station until a mysterious woman entered. She looked shocked and upset and said that her wallet had been stolen. One detective approached her and asked how it had happened. The woman explained that she had been watching a street dancer perform and wanted to give her some money. At that moment, the dancer stole her wallet. The detective then asked her to describe the thief. At first, the woman hesitated, but after a moment, she spoke: the thief was a tall woman wearing a red dress and high heels. She added that the woman looked young and moved like a talented dancer.

Based on this description, the detective set out to search the streets. He questioned people and tried to find the suspect. By the end of the day, he had found three women: Eve, Scarlet, and Rose. All of them were dressed similarly but with small differences. Eve was wearing a bright red dress and high heels, but her heels were not very tall. Scarlet was wearing a dark red dress and long high heels. Lastly, Rose was wearing a dark red dress, long high heels, and glasses.

After thinking carefully, the detective came up with a plan. He asked all three women to dance. They had no choice but to obey. Scarlet and Rose went first. Both were terrible at dancing and could only do a few simple moves. Then it was Eve’s turn. She danced beautifully.

After watching her, the detective made his decision: the thief was Eve. She admitted her guilt, apologized, and explained her reason—she wanted to enter a dance competition, but there was an entrance fee she couldn’t afford. That’s why she had stolen the wallet.

Surprisingly, the woman whose wallet had been stolen understood Eve’s situation and decided to pay the entry fee for her. In the end, everyone left the police station happy, and the case was closed.
